This film is in the fantasy/sci-fi genre, which are the type of movies and tv shows that I like to watch.
The Mortal Instruments has all kinds of supernatural elements in it, as well as a love story that turns sad. The movie is based on a series of books, and I was really hoping that there would be a second film, as this one is based on the first book.
But alas! Apparently it didn't do well enough at the box office to warrant a sequel - even though it has a huge fan base. I loved all of the actors in this movie, particularly the male and female leads. They had great chemistry and I would love to see their romance pan out in future films.
Even though I'm over 50 years old, and this movie was created for young adults, I still love it and don't care what other people think!
